Montana Tech’s College of Technology is inaugurating a program entitled “Passport To ….” This program selects a country or region to celebrate. The first event in the Passport To … program will feature Australia. It is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd from 11:30 – 1:30 in the COT Commons.
“The goal is to inspire unity and understanding through educational and entertaining events for our students, faculty & staff,” said Dr. John M. Garic, Dean of the College of Technology. “I believe that learning about other countries will enrich the educational experience of our students and promote their personal growth.”
The program is designed to have some kind of food (such as pizza) to attract the students and then have a student and/or a faculty member (who are from the subject country), to speak for 10 to 20 minutes about the country and life in that country. Scheduled to speak at the event on Tuesday are Dannielle Devenny, a star Tech athlete who hails from Australia, as well as Biology professor, Dr. Scott Carver, who is from nearby New Zealand.
